Michelle Toh is an award-winning international journalist, most recently a longtime reporter with CNN.
Toh has covered some of the top stories in global business, trade and technology. A multimedia journalist, she reported breaking news and features across CNN's digital and television platforms, chronicled business and tech across Asia Pacific and delivered exclusive stories on brands including Disney, Samsung and Starbucks.
Prior to joining CNN, Toh was an associate editor at FORTUNE Her reporting has been featured in publications including The New York Times, TIME, USA Today, LA Business Journal and the South China Morning Post, covering topics from policy and immigration to fashion, culture and lifestyle.
In 2025, Toh launched Behind the Business, an independent video show and podcast on business and leadership that became a top-ranked business podcast in 18 markets, including the US, UK, China, Germany, Singapore, Hong Kong and South Korea.
Toh has been called on to moderate events at major conferences, including for CES and Asia Society. She is currently based between Los Angeles and Hong Kong.
